Angela & Mike - Piedmont Community Hall

Casey Sasser

Angela and Mike were married on a beautiful spring day in Oakland. These two have the best story - they met in medical school when they were paired up to practice a physical exam (!!). In the span of a month, they got married, graduated from medical school, and moved across the country, all the while maintaining a sense of grace and humor. Their wedding was truly a team effort, with friends and family helping with flowers, dessert, decor, and much more. Congratulations, Angela and Mike!

Christina & James - Golden Gate Club, San Francisco

Casey Sasser

Back in March, Christina and James had the most colorful, festive wedding I've ever been part of. They were both smiling nonstop the entire day (maybe a quick break for some happy tears), and their family and friends were so excited and supportive. The reception featured a surprise dance performance from James and his dance crew, which totally blew everyone away. Christina and James put a ton of love into many DIY details: emoji table numbers, a ceremony backdrop with fabric streamers, and the sweetest slideshow that had everyone sniffling. It was such a special day - congratulations, C & J!

Katie & Chris - Windsor, CA

Casey Sasser

Katie and Chris were so much fun to work with! Their wedding was overflowing with love, joy, and tons of sweet personal details: family members baked treats for dessert, their adorable dog Baxter played a starring role in the ceremony, and talented friends sang and played guitar for their first dance. Details aside, Katie and Chris' friends and families were so genuinely thrilled for them - their toasts were some of the most heartfelt and emotional I've ever seen. Congratulations, you two!

And of course, a huge thanks to all the vendors who made the day possible:

Elena & Andrew - Thomas Fogarty Winery

Casey Sasser

Elena and Andrew were married on a gorgeous, hot (!) spring day at Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside. The wedding was a total team effort, with Andrew's mother taking the lead on many of the decor projects including beautiful paper lanterns that hung from the ceiling and lent a fun, festive touch to the reception. Special touches like a signature cocktail named after a beloved pet, homemade peanut brittle favors for guests, and a fun Instax guestbook really made the day feel personal. Elena and Andrew were so wonderful to work with - they had such a calm sense of purpose on the wedding day and were totally in the moment and in love. Congratulations, you two!

Christina & Scott - San Francisco and Alameda, CA

Casey Sasser

Full disclosure: I may have squealed out loud when I got Christina's inquiry about coordinating her and Scott's wedding. They were planning a small, semi-private ceremony at San Francisco City Hall followed by a laid-back, fun reception at Faction Brewing in Alameda (one of my favorite local breweries!). Yep, this wedding was pretty special! Christina and Scott were so lovely to work with - kind, down to earth, and so sweetly in love.

One of my favorite parts of the day was at the beginning of the reception. Since the ceremony was small and mostly family, Christina and Scott really wanted to make all their reception guests feel included. So they each gave a little toast to welcome their guests, but also to talk about their relationship and what the other person meant to them. It was such a touching moment that had everyone in tears!

Thank you to the wonderful vendor team:

Ceremony: San Francisco City Hall

Reception: Faction Brewing (full disclosure - they don't normally do weddings! But Erin, Claudia, and all the staff were so great and accommodating)
